At Monastero Arx Vivendi, the old domestic quarters have been restored and turned into 40 new rooms and suites. Spread out across 3 floors, they boast either imposing 5-m tall ceilings, an unencumbered view to the sky or a private sauna.
Welcome the day with a serene smile on your face. At Monastero Arx Vivendi, the day starts in style with breakfast, served between 7.30 and 11 a.m. Crunchy bread, Italian marmalades, and a spread of fresh sweet and savoury treats you can help yourself to. Put in an order for scrambled, boiled, or sunny-side-up eggs and a selection of other meals. Choices include vegan and gluten-free dishes – but we cater to all dietary requirements. Pick and mix what your heart desires. Seize the day – and meal – like there is no tomorrow. Breakfast is included in the room price.
Enjoy a good glass of wine from the nearby vineyards, a cheeky bottle of local sparkling wine or why not go off course and order a special cocktail? Go on, you are on holiday after all: even monastic orders knew how to have a good time – nunc est bibendum, or in other words, let us drink! You can also order finger food and hearty snacks (12.30 a.m. - 04.00 p.m.). You only live once, so why give things up? The Monastero bar is open between 11.00 a.m. and 8.00 p.m. for our hotel guests.
You will not find a restaurant at Monastero Arx Vivendi. However, we are more than happy to recommend the best restaurants in town or a bit further afield if you want to explore the nearby area. Slip into something fancy and off you go for a pleasant lakeside stroll. Now this is something you cannot get back at home. Feels good, does it not? Life surely is sweet, whatever your tastes.
Hotel guests can access the SPA and garden for free. The cloister garden has an outdoor heated pool, while the SPA boasts a Finnish sauna, a bio sauna, the hammam, and other chill-out areas. All Arx Vivendi Treatments must be booked in advance.
The pride and joy of our SPA is the hammam. Enter a unique space where you can treat yourself to tailored treatments which will provide a soothing balm for body, mind, and soul. The dedicated hammam set can be purchased at the SPA. Our therapist will be more than happy to explain how it all works. Get ready to enjoy some well-deserved ‘me time’ in the hammam.
For people who are not staying overnight at the hotel, Monastero Arx Vivendi has created the Day SPA offer. The Day SPA ticket costs €150 and is worth every penny. Simply book here.
Monastero Arx Vivendi is located in the heart of Arco, in Via Mantova 13. It is just 4 km from Lake Garda. Use Google Maps and follow the simple directions to the hotel. Once here, you can take the cycling path and head to the lake – speak with us and we will sort out your bike hire. If you already have your own bike and have brought it with you, kudos! You can leave and lock it at the dedicated bike stand in the inner courtyard. You can also pay a bit extra and use our lockable, private cycling box if you wish. Just let us know.
We are happy you have chosen to use public transport! Let us know if you need us to organise a transfer from the airport or train station and back.
Upon arrival, you can park your car right in front of the hotel’s entrance using the dedicated short-term parking spaces to check in. You will then have to park it elsewhere, but can make use of the hotel’s underground garage (€8.50/day).
No pets are allowed.
Check in between 2.30 and 7 p.m.; if you cannot make it before 7 p.m. we would appreciate a heads-up. Check out from 10.30 a.m.; however, if you feel like postponing your departure for a while, pay a little extra and request a late check out subject to availability.
Children are always welcome. When booking simply state if you need a cot, baby food or anything else. We will take care of it.
Life happens, and that is fine. While cancelling your trip is never nice, we have all got to be prepared for it. Especially considering the current difficult situation. Which is why we have established the following cancellation clauses:
Cancellation up to 7 days before arrival: free cancellation.
Cancellation between 6 and 4 days before arrival: 70% of the total booking.
Cancellation up to 3 days before arrival: 100% of the total booking.
Late arrival or early departure: 100% of the total booking.
No show or failure to communicate cancellation: 100% of the total booking.
The above cancellation clauses do not apply to non-refundable rates.
If you have to cancel your booking because of COVID-19, you must communicate the reason for your cancellation in writing up to 48 hours before your planned arrival. Valid reasons for a free cancellation or change of booking are: closure of borders, official travel warning issued from your country of origin or one of your family members has tested positive for COVID-19 (we require a medical certificate in this case). If the legislator prescribes it, there may be a possible reduction in the scope of benefits. However, this does not impact the room price. We advise that the current COVID-19 hygiene regulations and rules must be respected and that they could change at any time.
We are required to charge a local tourist tax of €2.50 per guest per night from the age of 14. The tax is not included in the room’s price.
